Ok so on the news someone found a dead body in a freezer... and it happened in my neighborhood... and I guess their main suspect is on the run or something like that, and I'm scared to go outside without a friend now...

I don't know if the guy would still be in the neighborhood hiding, or if he would be someplace else hiding...
what do you think???

The chances of this person still being in your neighborhood are slim. This is more than likely a random act of violence. Who ever did it knows they found the body so they surly are not coming back to the same area to commit more crimes.

Sure, it is never safe to be out and about alone.... just go with friends.

You will be OK........ seriously, don't be so afraid. Just go out in groups and avoid any dangerous situations!

It certainly wouldn't hurt to be more careful, but bad and weird things will always happen and you can't let them paralyze you in life.

Let someone know when you're leaving the house. If no one's home, text or call a friend to let them know where you'll be and for how long. If you have a cell phone ask them to call or text you at a certain time just to say hey - and make sure everything's fine.

If your neighborhood is rough or you're REALLY nervous, you can invest in a whistle to blow if anyone should attack you. Attracting attention is usually your best weapon. There are also stores that sell mace and pepper spray you can keep on a key ring.

Of course if you're absolutely panic-stricken, you could try finding one of these: http://www.mobilemag.com/content/100/342/C10573/

IF THERE HAS BEEN A SPREE OF CRIMES RELATING TO THE FREEZER INCIDENT LIKE JEFFERY DAUMIER. THEN STAY AT HOME OR HAVE A BUDDY SYSTEM. POLICE WOULD ALERT CITIZENS IF THEY BELIEVE THAT THE CRIME IS NOT JUST AN ISOLATED INCIDENT.
IF MAIN SUSPECT IS ON THE LAMB THAN IT IS OK. HE HAS FLED THE AREA. THEY THINK.
GREEN RIVER KILLER WAS KNOWN AND YET COULD NOT BE CHARGED ALL THOSE 30 YEARS BECAUSE HE DID NOT FIT THE PROFILE OF A KILLER AND HAD AN EXCUSE THAT HE WAS ELSEWHERE DURING THE CRIMES COMMITTED.
