why don't people see how evil the bible and it's teachings are... the bible was given to the world carefully planned to give the churches not truth the advantage... this verse is setting people up to defend the church against the day that the truth will start to come to light... when children will turn their backs on their parents religions.. You see protecting the church is all that matters in their teaching is has no relevence in truth or good or what's right... they just don't want to lose the power over the human population religions gives them...
and for every person like you who would finally disobey that book there might be some who would do it.. or have done it... Now this question begs to be asked... having read that verse and seeing the 'evil" in the bible why do you continue to support the religions that it produces? It's power is in the ignorance of the people willing to accept evil acts as part of their faith..

yes , you see the 10 commandments say , Thou shalt not kill . So in my opinion when Mosis Held those stones up with the ten commandments on them , those were the rules for all eternity . So Yes it is a sin to murder a person for cursing us.

Yeah, well, there are a lot of verses like that in the bible. They also used to kill witches and people who were accused of heresy because the bible told them to. Times change.

If you try to live by the whole book of Leviticus, you will be granted eternal life. But you have to add all the Law of Moses, which appears in Exodus, and Deuteronomy as well.
Or you can trust in God through Jesus Christ, and you will be saved.
The illustration of that Law is: Those who curse God are not His children. He doesn't count anyone as His child unless they trust Him through his propitiation, Jesus Christ.
Just to give you some perspective.

If you had a rebellious child it was lawful to bring him out and have him stoned. It was believed that if he was rebellious against his parents he would be nothing but trouble to the tribe or village. It is true even today, the only difference is our world now is larger, if he ruining things in our household we just throw them out and send them into the world, so the world has to deal with them, hence our prison systems.
