There are thousands of types of mold. Not all of them are bad. Not all black molds are bad.

If you are concerned that the mold could be making them sick - then have your sister call someone in and test the mold. The test will be able to determine if the mold is a harmful type or not. Be aware - that these test can be expensive.

Potentially VERY critical, each you and Baby can get severely in poor health from breathing in fungal spores! Just for now you'll wipe the mildew off with a material dipped in lemon juice or vinegar. If it is in a concrete rental block, it is more likely to be a "warmness-sink" - ie a bloodless impervious wall with inadequate air-waft within the room and badly-deliberate heating - the Housing Association ought to recognise approximately this. Get your surgeon and/or nurse at the case - they may not wish but one other asthmatic child on their books. Don't use scented candles or "air-fresheners", btw, to be able to make any chest conditons worse. Good good fortune!
