Has anybody just scratched or ruined their new car while driving it home from the car dealership or the next day crashed it or scratched their brand new car? Even used cars, in the same week? DETAILS please! I'm curious!

Thanks.

I've handed lots of claims for folks who just bought the car.

The worst one was for someone who just purchased the car - literally - just signed the papers and was pulling out of the dealership to go home and pulled out into another car's path and total loss-ed the car that was just purchased.

As a claims adjuster I can tell you that yes, people have accidents on the first day with their new car. I have handled probably 6 to 10 claims like this during a 22 yr career.

Back in the early 90's I handled a claim in Brooklyn Center, MN where a lady had an accident leaving the car dealership in her brand new truck.

this happened many years ago. a co-worker had just bought a brand new mustang. she left the dealership, drove less than a mile when some other driver did not stop at a stop sign and hit the new mustang. it was totaled. luckily no one was hurt.
