You hear Mexicans constantly talk about how bad they are treated in the US but are beating down the doors to gain entry. So if its so bad why the heck come to America?

Actually I don't hear that anywhere, except the accusations of talk radio.
The milk and honey is fine thanks, quit trying to screw it up.

Talking is their greatest talent! Albeit in a different language, usually.
Consider that a paltry 14-mile border wall in San Diego drove all these "determined", "nothing-will-stop-us" illegals elsewhere to cross. They're all bark and no bite. Why?
Simple:
It really would be much easier to turn most Latin-American countries into democracies free of rampant corruption. The stalwart Mexican Nationalists I know insist on it. They also echo our dismay at the defeatism of those who abandon their own people and scurry north. If they stayed, insist the nationalists, they'd eventually sober up and help us root out the problems.
It really is such an irony that the milk-and-honey up here is only pennies different from the milk-and-honey there. And that all we need do is make it just a little tougher to get ours than to get their own.

Due to all the graft and corruption in the Mexican Government, there is little chance for them to succeed in their own country! Plus here, there is work the Americans refuse to do, the the Mexicans are not too proud to do that work! Even for less pay! You can't blame the Mexicans for wanting to be able to support their families, just like we do! the fact is, there is more work here!
It is sooooo easy for Repubilcons, to make sweeping generalizations, about liberals! And most of them lies!
The fact is that without liberals, this country would be in an even bigger mess, than it is now! Liberals love this country! That is why we are always trying to correct everything you Republicons, have done to screw it up!
You wouldn't have all that milk and honey without all the welfare programs, that liberals set in motion! Which has just as many Republicans on its rolls, as are Democrats,too! Everyone needs help one in awhile!
So, how about we have less pot, calling the kettle black there, okay?
Let's see you come up with a solution to fix the immigrattion problem in the United States, then we''ll talk!

Liberals don't put down America -- they challenge and criticize specific govt policies -- a big difference.
And most pro-immigration people obviously don't put down America -- otherwise, why would they want immigrants to come here?
And yes -- people are often badly treated -- and that's grounds to complain -- but it's not an attack against the country as a whole -- it's a complaint about a specific behavior by a specific group of people.
Have we totally lost the ability to differentiate between not liking one particular thing one part of the country does -- and callling that hating the country as a whole?

Interesting that you lump liberals with pro-immigrants. I am not liberal, but am pro-immigration. Most of the libs that I know are rabid anti-immigrants. Go figure?

Ummm, looks like people against Mexicans are the ones saying bad things about America. Like the gov is stupid and things like that.
I'm against illegals coming here but hey man don't dis the land. Don't dis just Mexicans either. They ain't the only illegals.

Because they can't make more than $3 per day in Mexico. In the states they average $10 an hour.

I am pro immigration but anti-ILLEGAL immigration. both lberals and conservatives and more than 80% in between hate illegal immigration.
