This is a bit graphic so be weary of that . 2 years ago my boyfriend was constantly cheating on me. I thought he gave me herpes because I had these painful growths in my pubic hair area (Not anywhere else) I went to a clinic and the doctor said it could be a strain of herpes but she wasnt sure. The growths were pretty painful and eventually they burst and bled with a little pus. Well come to find out my boyfirend had a staph infection and MRSA. So, I began to think it was that, that I could have caught his MRSA. Well that was two years ago and every few months or so, growths appear in the same area, same spot every time. I went to a different clinic, the obgyn said it was ingrown hairs. But I am not sure. the most recent doc said they were just pimples, not herpes. If I describe them, can you tell me if you have any idea what they are? They are painful and like pimples that have a whitehead on top, and they get irritated and the white head gets bigger. They go away on its own

The Dr's can biopsy one or take a sample of the puss

i don't know your age But about 20yrs ago i had the same things??? and had 2 different dr's saying 2 different things It could be??? i am in my 60's and now i seem to get 1 or 2 maybe in a year...but they are painful and i can relate to your question...glad u asked...if a dr. or if some one out in cyperspace ''' knows what it is or how come it happen,,rubbing on wrong kind of panies/pants..i have gotten some even if i haven't had intercourse for a long long time...i DID NOTICE IF '' I '' TRIMMED THE HAIR IN THAT AREA -if u know what i mean?? and each time i do that i do get '''another one of those spots'''...i tryed warm hot packs-and try ??? to pop but it only hurts worse...!! warm hot packs ok -- but don't try to pop-#1 it hurts and its really painful and most of the time nothing happens but me having '''that pain''' but worse...

if they are getting a whitehead and bursting i would say its pimples or ingrown hairs. next time you get one you should have it swabbed and sent for culture just to be sure but herpes don't usually do that.

yes most of us women have been there but wont admit it i have had them to they are called cysts another word for a pimple or boil and they can be painful most of all annoying but if they bother you that bad ask you ob what you can do to try to prevent them shaving doesnt reall have anything to do with it if your gonna get them you get them also try not to wear tight clothes and when you go to bed dont wear underware let youre body breath alittle i alsolike silk underware better than cotton when i have one

do you shave down there? because ingrown hairs could be a possibility.
