I would support a troop withdrawal. The war is a quagmire that is doing more harm than good, both to Iraqis and Americans. We are wasting money, killing people, and there is no evidence that Iraq is any happier or better off with us there.

I would support a safe and quick withdrawl of troops within a year's period. What would you do if you were stuck in quicksand or a trap? Send more troops? Stay there?

The sensible thing for any sane person would be to cut his losses and regroup at the homefront. Why is that so difficult to understand? Perhaps we need to pull our head out of the proverbial sand and take a look around. Then, we'll see that the Iraqi people don't want us there. It's time to come home and stop acting like a liberator - the Iraqi people don't see us as liberators. They see us as an occupying force, and if Vietnam is of any lesson to us, we should know better than to stay there.

I will support the military decision. If the administration refuses to listen to the guys on the ground, that will be hard for me to support. I would much prefer the military be allowed to finish the job. I'm sick and tired of civilians trying to run the military. But, once the decision is made, I guess I'd have no choice to live with it... maybe to write a few more letters to my representatives... and to vote differently the next election.

The run-of-the-mill "American People" won't support anything the administration, or the military does. They'll second-guess decisions just as they always do.

They didn't support Desert Storm finishing the job... so we pulled out against the advice of the military. They didn't support the pullout... for 12 years they bashed two administrations for not going back. They didn't support OIF finishing the job... calling it illegal in spite of PL 107-243 10/16/02 signed into law by congress. They second guess every military decision... as if they knew what they were talking about... but between them they couldn't come up with one original, workable thought.

Definitely, can we work on our own country please? It's far from perfect. This country needs alot of help, we've lost so many people for others who don't care about helping us. Why keep fighting a war where anyone can attack from any angle? Instead of spending all this money on weapons and burial services, lets just drop millions of books and educate them. Sounds pointless huh? So does going into their country and trying to establish our own type of government that many don't want! We wouldn't like it, who would?

Well Rush, it is like this you see. Getting out of Iraq to most of us would not be cutting and running, it would be leaving because we are not accomplishing what we set out to do. And never will. We got our victory by defeating Saddam's army and killing him. We will never set up a working Democracy there. The locals do not want one.

Yes. I am all for getting our nose out of intervening into the Iraq civil war.
We need to focus on bringing this country back to it's glory days of a strong economy and domestic national defense.

NO I think we should stay and fight no matter what the cost, since leaving would just waste the sacrifice that all the Men and Women gave when died for this country willingly of non willingly

I would. This is an unwinnable war. Are we supposed to stay forever? I thought the goal was to remove Saddam? he's dead and gone. We should leave and let them work the rest out themselves. That country's destined to split itself in thirds anyway.
