Does anyone actually drink 3 litres of water a day like what you're supposively sapoust too? I think it's a marketing ploy just to get people to buy a ton of water.

The 8 glasses (8 oz per glass or about 2 liters total) a day is an medical myth that has been propogated by psuedo-science health nuts, exercise trainers and most likely by the marketing people in the water companies.

So I believe it's more of a marketing ploy.

While the standard recommendation is 3 liters a day, I am lucky to get 2 liters a day in. I have never liked plain water, so I have to make it just this side of ice and drink it all in one sip. So I will only drink as much as I can down at any one one given time.

You might be right about the marketing ploy. Isn't that right, AQUAFINA? If I drank that much everyday, do realize how many times I'd be waking up in the middle of the night to take a wiz? lol. It seems impracticle, but I always thought it was atleast a gallon a day.

I try to drink a gallon a day, but sometimes I don't succeed. It can't hurt... and you CAN drink tap water... That would cost you approximately 2 cents at most!
