The only way for a civilian to come on as a WO is aviation, in the street to seat program. That requires a very long/complex package to be built with the assistance of a recruiter, and a very competitive process. She can do about all of that from Korea. She can for sure take an ASVAB (need 110GT) and an AFAST (need 100) there, and get rec letter from a sr rated army aviator (CW3 or maj). They don't intentionally don't make the process user friendly, cause the hard work/research to get teh packet done are a big factor in eliminating people that wouldn't s tick out the training anyway. If selected, the fail rate at IERW is only something like 1%, so getting selected is really the hard part.

Yes, she would go through basic, WOCS, and a few other training schools. What makes you think she wouldn't have to?
Yes, Warrants are promoted and selected from enlisted ranks in most of the services. However, the Army is different. You can apply to WOCS just like you would apply to OCS. For some warrant positions you need prior experience in the field. Right now rotary wing aviator candidates can be civilians. There used to even be a high school to flight school program, but they may have done away with that.

the only way she can go directly to Warrant is if she is accepted into the Aviation(helicopters) program. Otherwise, she has to enlist and work her way up through the ranks.
yes, she would attend Basic and then go on to WOFT.

Just like any other career in the ranks of NCO's.... you EARN it... by starting with basic training and putting in something like 12+ years of exemplary service.
