How much should you tip a parking attendant?

I'm going to a resort for a 7 days and want to know how much should I tip? Do I tip every time the attendant moves the car or the day I'm leaving? Thanks

I would suggest tipping each time. You will have a different attendant - and face it - it is just the right thing to do. In terms of amounts of dollars (in dollar bills) from my perspective depends on the type of car you are having the attendant park. Are you driving the rental car mid-size? Or are you driving your Lexus? If I was driving a small - for-myself rental then a couple of dollars each time is actually quite decent. If I was driving the mid-size car for-me-and-my girlfriend then each time they would get no less than $3 but no more than $5. If I am driving my personal Lexus then $5 is the minimum standard that I would give.

Again this is just a suggestion and have fun at that resort!

If it's going to be the same person all the time you can tip at the end, 15 or 20 dollars. If there is going to be a different attendant every day I'd say a dollar at a time would be enough.

I would tip 2-3 dollars each time - attendants let each other know who is a good tipper and they may be a bit more careful with your car.

I usuallly tip $2. The attendants are almost never the same since they work on rotating shifts, so waiting until the end is not a good idea.

You will probably have a different attendant every time you get your car. Take lots of one dollar bills and give one each time you are serviced.
