Hi not sure how old your poor little girl is, but any antihisamine should help. Hopefully you can figure out why shy has hives, since that is very important! Dimatapp or something like that. Just run to the Wal-Mart and read the label OR you could call the pharmacy if your doctors office is already closed for the day. Good luck and I hope she feels better soon!!!!!!!!

You really need to talk to a Dr or pharmacist. Many of the allergy medicines available to adults should not be given to children. If the hives occur commonly, it might be a good idea to take to an allergy specialist to determine the cause. Hives often occur from food allergies.

People CAN be allergic to antihistamines so I would be cautious about the recommendations to give her a different type. Consult a doctor, one who takes the benadryl allergy seriously.

I would try a cortisone cream applied directly to the hives. You can also call a doctor and ask about Atarax.

First I would not take the advice of anyone who is not qualified to answer this question (meaning specific medicines suggested as your daughter may have a worse reaction to that). Second, I would call your doctors office and ask to speak to your doctor or the advice nurse. If you don't have one, or you don't have insurance if you go to your local pharmacy they pharmacists can help direct you to medicine that will help.

Call your doctor and ask about other meds for hives. A good one is Atarax.

i would ask the pediatrician. claritin is an antihistamine that's available over the counter-but is primarily used for seasonal allergies. also sometimes steroids like prednisone, but you need a prescription.
