+/- 25% of the hands, you lose without bursting...
(1/4) ^ 8 = 65536.
So basically, the odds of losing 8 hands in a row without bursting are 65535:1.
It won't happen often.. but it will, once in a while.

Questions about strings of losses are usually seen in discussions about betting systems, especially the "double your bet each time you lose" system. If you use that system over and over starting with a minimum bet of $10, 127 times you'll win $10 and 1 time you'll lose $1270 on an even-money bet. Since the casinos have a house advantage of approximately 1.5% at blackjack, you should actually plan to win $10 _fewer_ than 127 times for each time you lose $1270. It has been proven a gazillion times how bad that system is. But to answer your original questions... Heck yes, it's possible. I even went 9 hands without a win at a $5 minimum table. There were a couple situations where the ever-popular Basic Strategy card dictated that should double down, so that's exactly what I did... and still lost the hand. I think it ended up costing me $60 or $65 real quick.

First I assume you mean Busting.
Yes it is possible (and probable)
If you have a 16-20 hand you can still be beat at any time.
I have been sitting on a 19 had the dealer showing a "2" and hit up to 20 (K+2+8)
I don't know if I have lost 8 in a row like this (it has been a LONG time)

Given that there are 8*10^65 different permutations of the 52 cards in a single deck, anything is possible.

I guess it's not a common thing. Luckily I have never lost 8 hands without busting.

I think the problem might be that you use words like "bursting" when you refer to blackjack.
