im serious about this. i cant sleep @ night because of coughing, and the only thing that helps in the humidifier with vicks in the water. i do use the rub and put it under my nose, but it evapoates so fast and like one hour later i start to cough again. i really want to know if this stuff will hurt my dog in ANY way.

I see no problem with using Vicks around dogs. About the only thing I see a dog doing is an occasional snort out and pushing down on it's snout with it's paw. Hope you feel better soon :)

I have used Vicks Vapor rub around dogs forever. In fact, have even put it on a male dogs' nose if showing when a female in season is also showing. That way he couldn't smell the female and turn into an idiot in the ring. Many show people have used that trick and the dogs are all fine.

Female in heat + Intact Male = Puppies. Keep them absolutely separated (a closed door won't do it - more than one dog has ripped apart a door after a b*tch in heat). Crate one or the other if they're unattended and don't let them anywhere near each other for the next 3 weeks. Make appointments now to have them both fixed.

i doubt if this helps anyway, but i just say to keep applying Vick's vapor to yourself. Try contacting some of the docs that you work with....

it's only menthol from eucalyptus extract. Koalas don't seem to mind, and the only thing that'll bother your dog is his sensitive nose. If it does happen to irritate his sniffer he'll just avoid the area.

Just see how your dog reacts. Just keep an eye on him when he's close by and if nothing seems to go wrong then he should be fine.

It's safe to use around dogs. He might not like the smell but it won't hurt him.
