It is safe to give your little kitten the kitten replacement milk, but don't give him regular cow's milk. Get the kitten milk that is already mixed, it is a better consistency than the powder you have to mix. Warm the milk just a little bit for him.
The sleeping alot is normal for a kitten and he is probably so happy to have a nice warm cozy place to sleep!
The runny eyes are a sign of an upper respiratory infection. The runny stool can be many things, such as intestinal parasites, worms and the lack of proper nutrition before Dad rescued him.
Please have Dad or Mom make an appointment very soon with the vet to have your little kitten checked. At such a young age, the problems you describe can be life threatening. But the good news is both are easily cured with medicine from the vet.
Purrs to you and your new little kitten.

Your kitten needs to be seen by a vet, ASAP! It sounds like....respiratory infection (goopy eyes) and a possible parasite infection in his intestinal tract, very common to kittens (Coccidia). This could be the cause of the runny stool, or it could be the milk, if you're feeding it to him. Most cats cannot digest cow's milk, so it gives them diahhrea. Sometimes, they can drink goat milk, tho! If he were mine, I'd get him checked out.....it'll soon be time to get his first shots, anyway! I wouldn't worry about the sleeping a lot. Even adult cats will sleep about 16 hours a day, so since he's so little, AND probably sick, he needs all the sleep he can get! You can get Kitten Milk Replacement (KMR) at most pet stores, and feed him that til he gets enough teeth and a healthy tummy for "real" food. Good luck......

If he is 5 weeks of age, you can start the kitten on kitten food and see if it is able to eat. you may have to soften the food with water. By this age you should not need to be feeding milk replacer. As for the stool and green discharge from the eyes. You need to get the cat into the vet. It sounds like you cat might have an eye infection and intestinal parasites. Your vet will be able to treat your kitten and get it better.

First things first....Take the kitten to the vet immediately do not wait. He is sleeping all day because he has a fever. He has a virus and for that a age many viruses are deadly. You can buy milk replacer at most grocery stores Walmart pet stores etc. You may need a bottle...Make sure he is drinking water and eating. You can also buy wet food although shouldn't eat it ith the runs but if he won't eat dry food then try. Please take him to the vet asap.

What are you currently feeding your kitten? if its cows milk, sometimes cats cannot digest cows milk and it courses diahorehea. I know my 2 kittens cannot have cows milk due to this reason but it varies from cat to cat or from kitten to kitten in your case.
It sounds as if he has a eye infection. It could be conjunctivitis but its hard for an outsider to say as i have not seen it. Take him to vets and explain to him what you just said and he will get him sorted with some eye drops that will fix his infection.
Good look :)

Get that baby to a vet asap. Cow's milk isn't good for cats, it's a myth. So quit giving cow's milk. They can tolerate goat's milk better. That baby is too young to be from his mom, so you might need to get him some formula they sell at pet stores made for cats. Also, you can introduce a little baby cereal added to the formula like gerber rice or oatmeal. Or kitten food wet down a bit.

the runny stool could be he needs to go to the vet to be dewormed (dont try that at home)....the goop in his eyes can be cleaned with a warm wash cloth (gentle) and since it is green it needs to be addressed by the vet as well green indicates infection and yes you can use KMR (kitten milk replacement) after the above issues are addressed by a vet asap
