I am fealing like nothing I do matters. I thought maybe it was just stress and ignored it.
It's getting worse. I no longer enjoy doing things that I used to love to do, and I feel like a constant failure. Also I have been having these feelings of anger for little things.
I have also been feeling really tired.

I was wondering what this is. Depression or a lack of sleep or what?

Please help!

Most likely you are overworked and underappreciated, and lacking in sleep. If you haven't gone on stress leave or a holiday already you should do so.Being overworked can run you down physically. In salmon stress leads to imune system breakdown and death.

Depression and sleep prolems have similar symptoms and may be related.

When you sleep reglarly, have a clear conscionse, eat well, exercise, mix with others, think of others more than your own problems, you normally suffer less from depression.

Normally sleep sorts out what is important to worry about. Sometimes chemical imbalances can prevent this. Antidepresants can help fix this, thus allowing your sleep to work more effectively.

Medical problems such as snoring related breathing difficulties can disturb sleep. Medical problems can also cause internal problems preventing sleep from doing its job.

Mixing with and helping others also helps to get your problems in perspective. A good technique of stopping you from putting yourself down, is to imagine what you would say to someone else insulted you.

E.g. if you say to yourself "your fat" imagine what you would say if your worse enemy said the same thing.

Laughing, eating chocolate and exercising can send happy juices through your brain and help create happy thought pathways.

Drinking more water, exercise, crying and laughter helps detox you so you feel less shitty.

More water, laughter, exercise, and sleep helps you loose weight, which increases your general wellbeing.

it sounds like textbook depression....derived from frustration. once a few things go wrong and they dont correct by themselves it can have a depressing feeling.... it might not be inheritied depression....if u feel lik eur in a slump in ur life that can change how u feel....and also the weather is chaning and everything is dieing off and getting darker sooner and it effects u more than you think. i would start with a journal, jot down all ur feelings and try to figure out where they are coming from and see if u can fix itor inprove things. even talking about it helps to get it off ur chest. and i know this sounds silly but even meditating works wonders! believe mw I thought it was the most stupid thing EVER but after i did it a few times i actually felt a major difference. and it can be as simple as sitting in ur favorite chair and focus on deep breathing and say the same phrase over and over. it can be i am calm...or i feel happy...or any positive phrase. sitting there with ur eyes closed for a few minutes (under 5 but atlest 2) repeating the phrase actually works with ur subconscious! if the depression is coming on from frustration than doing these things change ur chemical balance in ur brain to improve thought and give a more positive balance. if it doesnt improve it might be the chemical imbalance that cant be helped without transhibitors(depression medication) and if that is it i would see a therapist and talk about what ur feeling and they can help prescribe medicine for try to help with yoga or other practices that balances out hormones.

Depression. The lack of sleep is a symptom of the depression. Whether this is situational or chronic, you can be helped with medication through this rough period. It will help your brain get right so you regain enjoyment of life and feel purpose again.
Most anti-depressants make you really tired in the morning for about a week. So please stick it out through a whole week because then that tiredness just goes away.

Well, speaking from experience you have the black cloud of depression hanging over your head. It can become serious so you need to talk to someone you trust. Keeping a journal helped/ helps me. Good -Luck. And, remember it does get better.

Probably both. Hopefully it's just a wave and it passes. Do something positive to occupy your mind, anything. Whatever you do don't drink.
