forgot to say where i was coming from to go xmas shopping i would be flying from dublin most of my friends have went and say its great for bargains especially for designer stuff

It depends on where you're coming from.

There might be great sales but you have to remember that everything else in NYC costs a lot of money.

No, save your money. New York in the last few years has lost it's character. Now it's full of chain stores that you'll find anywhere else in the country. Honestly, I live here and I don't even do my Christmas shopping here.

No, not really saving any money.
If you want to go somewhere for Xmas shopping try Oregon and Minnesota - they do not have a sales tax.

To Be HONEST No You will not Save money unless you come way before the Holiday or Way after...NYC is Very Expensive so If its 10 dollars in your hometown its probably 50 dollars Here!!!

For me I dont think it would be because I live in Ohio but I think it would be cool to shop there sometime.
