In most places if you don't live up to all the conditions of your probation, in this case, paying the fine, you can go back to jail for the full term of the sentence.

10 years is an awful long time for probation, what did she do and where? Most probation periods are less......unless it is a Federal crime she was convicted of.

There are a couple of different things the judge can/may do.

1. He may release her from jail and extend the period of her probation so that she can pay off her restitution.

2. He may enter the balance as a judgement lien and release your mother unsatisfactorily from probation (though unlikely due to the large balance).

3. He may order your mother to serve some jail and/or prison time for Failure to Comply with Probation Conditions.

Whats the warrant for? If its for the fine then tell her to pay $20 a month on it. They can't refuse the payment and if they do then have her go back to court because they obviously don't want the fine paid for.

CURRENTLY IN JAIL AND $100,000 BAIL PROBABLY.

SHE HAS BEEN SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS PROBATION INSTEAD OF PRISON TIME.

$100,000 IS FOR BAIL SO SHE WOULD NOT GET OUT. A $100,000 FINE? EXCESSIVE UNLESS SHE BURNED DOWN THE HOUSE TO COLLECT INSURANCE? OR OWES A RESTITUTION FOR EMBEZZLEMENT?
