Unscrupulous thieves have sent you this email and they are trying to part you from your hard earned cash. They will often ask you to call a premium rate number and keep you holding on whilst you rack up a huge phone bill. They are then paid a large proportion of this phone bill. They may ask you to divulge personal information about yourself or ask for your bank or credit card details. Do not divulge any such information under any circumstances. It is surprising how many innocent victims have been duped by these types of emails. Just remember the thieves who send them are very clever and extremely convincing. I suggest you delete the email and send it into cyberspace, hopefully along with the thieving scumbags who send them.

It sounds like a typical advance fee fraud. Lots of those are called 419 scams and most originate out of Nigeria. They will tell you that you have to open an account, (which costs money) pay for a transfer, bribe some official, or anything they can think of to get you to send them cash. There won't be any prize money at the end of the rainbow, either. Lots of people have been taken by these scams... check out artistsagainst419 for more info........ or just google '419 scams' Goodluck!

How Infuriating. If other big corporations like Apple, Symantec etc. had joined hands with Yahoo! and Microsoft, you would have received maybe 10 times. I suggest that you wait for sometime, till all big corporations join hands and give you a lottery of maybe 7 Billion pounds.

It's a scam. It's called advanced fee fraud. In order to get your check you have to pay the courier service plus insurance. Spare change compared to the millions you've just won but a very expensive courier considering that you're not going to get anything.

It's a scam. If you reply to it, they will tell you they need to confirm your bank account number, or try to access your account. They usually ask for money up front in order to "process your winnings". They are scam artists non pareil. Stay away from them. You will not win anything, and end up losing your savings.

sometimes, if you receive a letter through your letter box about a certain amount that you have won, then they ask you to fill a form or to call the number provide to claim; especially if the number start with 0900 or 0945, just put that in the bin because it can only be a scam. when you buy a lottery ticket, the don't ask for your number or name to put on the ticket when buying so, don't consider it.
