I am 14, 5-10, and about 150 pounds. I have experienced problems beching where my collarbones have become sore. I have been maxing out at about 175 pounds. Is this from too much weight, and what damage has been done to my collarbones?

Yea you shouldn't be feeling it in your collarbones. I would say your form is suspect. Make sure you have someone who is experienced, better yet a certified trainer, spot you on your lift to note any flaws in form. You have to make sure you have that down before adding any weight, especially if you're starting out. Also, be sure you're warmed up before hitting it heavy, and one thing that helps is to use cables or bands to warm up the rotator cuff. Lastly, be sure you're not tag teaming or bouncing the weight of your chest as this may cause some pain in the chest area and may even lead to injury.

bones can not become sore as the result of resistance training.

you are benching with your delts and not using the pectorals enough, you need to check your form or eventually you will suffer shoulder injury. you need to check out some sites like Westside Barbell and Metal Militia to learn the proper bench press form. the form used for benching for strength and benching for hypertrophy (muscle mass) is not the same.
