well i suggest u talk with him all the group and talk like serious like this "this is serious man... , and u should tell him that hes the main point of the group., lets all Ur feelings get out and say them to him so he will realize that its very important for u guys so he will stay , if it doesn't works i suggest you talk whit someone very close to him to convince him.
and by the way tell him good stuff about him to animate himself and make him think that without him there is nothing...
