It all depends on which Ocean you will be diving in.The Atlantic is rough in Capetown and this time of year is known for its Cape Rollers.The water temps are about 65F.Whereas the Indian Ocean is much warmer and with both you will need local proffesional advice before Diving.I would do more research into your trip try Wikopedia online they have the answers to most questions like yours.

Hi, the average sea temp is 18C around Cape Town,sadly i do not no what kind of suit is best for that temp. But if or when you do go have a good safe and happy time :)

It was nice and warm for Christmas when y daughter was there several years ago. Do get local information before diving there.
