So I just met this girl, about 2 weeks ago...and I know it's a bit early (which is a good thing) but I was wondering what's a good gift to give to her for turkey day/x-mas. I know I shouldn't spend too much because I just met her, but what do you guys think as an exceptional gift, without all the pricey after effects.

Something not too bulky, like a sterling silver bracelet engraved. That is classy yet not too pricey:)

See if it lasts before you go spending any major money and get to know her better so you will know her tastes in order to get something appropriate. People don't usually exchage gifts on Turkey day, it's more of a get together for a family type meal holiday.
For Christmas you can always get her one of those "Our First Christmas Together Ornaments. If she wears cologne or perfume, you could tell her "you always smell great, what is that scent?" and give it to her for Christmas.
Also cd's or concert tickets for her favorite artist or band are always a good bet.

A nice dinner at a not-too-pricey restaurant with her and another couple you think she would enjoy being around. You'd get to know her a little better, and so would some of your friends.

Check out http://www.gifts.com ... that should give you some ideas. Some of the things are pricey, but it could spark something else. You probably don't know her very well, but by Christmas, you should have a better idea of her likes and dislikes.

You could get her a little something that references something she's told you about herself or something the 2 of you have shared. Maybe something a little thoughtful and a little silly.

Cooking dinner is always nice too and you have some time to practice something before the holiday if that's the way you want to go.
