God has been guiding humans ever since He created them. Since they didn't know first, every Prophet taught some thing slowly like we teach children slowly from KG to 1s, 2nd grade and so on. God told every Prophet to tell people that another will come to teach you further and what will be his signs so they avoid false Pophets. Some false Prophet want that position of respect, status and possibly money. When next Pophet comes most of them always resist to accept him and the change that he is told to bring in society. So first group continue their religion giving special name and followers of next Prophet call their religion with different name even the Message of God was always the same minor differences to improve the knowledge and practice of people.
God says He sent total of 124000 prophets to all societies on this planets where ever they lived. I have no doubt that some of them were Prophets amongst the Red Indians in America and some wise men in the Jungles of Brazil and Africa were also from God who taught them wisdomd and good behaviour.
Now when God sent Last Prophet with a Universal Message, people who are following preious religion like Jews and Christians wee bound to resist and oppose him. . It was not easy for him to get recognition of his religion internationally,
and neither we expect it easy for us that you all will accept Islam very soon. God knew that. So God gave Prophet Mohammad special help of the forces of Angels to help protect his followers and spread the Message of God in entire Arabia and beyond.
When his Meccan enemies came with 1000 well equipped fighters to kill them, Mohamad SAW had only 313 men with him. Only 8 men had swords out of 313 and some had bows and arrows and other things. Prophet saw sure death of his followers. He cried with tears and begged God for help saying, if your servants are killed today, no one on the face of earth will ever be here to remember who you are.
God sent 1000 Angels dressed in pure white clothes fully armed on horses. God made Meccan see the Angels to put fear in thier hearts. But Muslims did not. One of them reported after war saying, I was about to kill one who had killed my brother minutes earlier, suddenly I saw his head cut off and falling on ground. I did see any one around who did it. Muslims won that battle with the help of God.

God wanted to establish Islam -His religion, so God helped Mohammad in many more battles and Islam spread very quickly and a great civilizaion was created by the teachings of Quran in less than 100 years.

If you don't believe me buy or borrow CNN documentay titled
"EMPIRE OF FAITH" and watch yourself. It is made by
non-Muslims. Most of the Muslims interview by reporters are American Converted Muslims. There are few Muslim scholars also explained the history of Muslims and Islam as faith.
We Muslims are only supposed to warn and give the message of Islam because no other Prophet will arrive, we are assigned this duty by Prophet of God and God himself to tell and warn non-Mslims.

Believe us or not is your decision. We will face God if we don't perform our duty we may get punished. You all will be questioned if you decide against God's teachings yu will face God and will be questioned, You were told and warned butn you kept worshipped gods other than me. Why?

May God guide you all and we all to the right path that leads to God - the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.
Peace, Abdul Majeed [ Meaning of name - The Slave of the Most Glorious One]. Muslims prefer to be called
Slave of God because slave just obeys and never talk back to his Master.... ....Why?

First, because we all have an inner desire for spiritual guidance, we will all deal with spirituality.

Second, because we are all unique, we will all deal with spirituality a little bit differently.

Third, because all of us humans are imperfect, we will make some wrong interpretations somewhere down the line.

Fourth, because God is most powerful, these interpretations of doing the right thing has extreme importance.

Fifth, because of pride in self or the nation, some of us will refuse to accept other interpretations forcing the one with lesser power to create an offshoot denomination.

Sixth, because of greed, some of us have created offshoots with a few personal touches on the original religion.

Therefore, if we can't agree on less important issues, such as the best food, best athlete, one language, one unit of measure, one monetary unit, environmental policy, one government, or one ruler, we will never agree on the most important thing, one religion.

have you guys ever read the left behind series-- I am a Christian but even if i were not it is really great reading it talks about the end of the world and about the anti-christ building a one world religion. i feel like pushing people to choose would be wrong even if it were christianity, Christians we are supposed to have free-will and i for one do not want to live in a world where someone will make me pray to a certain person even if it is the Christian God because whos to say that ten years from then another religion wont take over and force us to pray to Satan? what then?

Simply because there are so many possible wrong ideas. Even if it was possible for the world's most intelligent thinkers and brilliant teachers to reduce "religion" down to one universal, objective, inevitable, sane and undeniable truth, we are still left with a dilemma. Each individual still has an inalienable freedom to reject truth, and can subscribe to any belief that they choose.

Getting people to agree on anything is hard. Even people who basically agree on one overall religion such as Islam, Judaism, or Christianity have differences. God is one, but mankind is imperfect.

Atheists would try to use this as some sort of "proof" that God and religion are a bunch of hoo-hah, but there's another way of looking at it.

God wants us to actively seek Him, and make an effort to know Him. Man's understanding of God is imperfect, as men themselves are. God understands this and cuts us a certain amount of slack considering this. However He has, in the process of His love and understanding, become one of us, so that we may have eternal life (John 3:16).

It's easy to be bewildered and confused by the literally thousands of religions but remember this, there is only one that promises God's *unearned gift* of grace and salvation. No amount of human actions or works alone can buy it or obtain it. And all you have to do is say "yes". Jesus Christ is the name above all names.....

Because there are so many different beliefs, by so many different believers. There is no way unfortunately that everybody is going to believe in one religion. That's really unfortunate for some, but it's the truth.

private intrepretation.
It is wrong.
Only in the catholic faith do the people not intreprete scripture, because it was already intrepreted when it was written. The church came first, the bible came later, from the catholic church. At the reformation, 7 books of this holy bible were deleted by folks who had no business messing with the bible.

The many religions of [Earth] are all good to the extent that they bring man to God and bring the realization of the Father to man. It is a fallacy for any group of religionists to conceive of their creed as "The Truth"; such attitudes bespeak more of theological arrogance than of certainty of faith. There is not an earthly religion that could not profitably study and assimilate the best of the truths contained in every other faith, for all contain some truth. Religionists would do better to borrow the best in their neighbors' living spiritual faith rather than to denounce the worst in their lingering superstitions and outworn rituals.

All these religions have arisen as a result of man's variable intellectual response to his identical spiritual leading. They can never hope to attain a uniformity of creeds, dogmas, and rituals--these are intellectual; but they can, and some day will, realize a unity in true worship of the Father of all, for this is spiritual, and it is forever true, in the spirit all men are equal.

```````````````````````````````````````````````
Just as certainly as men share their religious beliefs, they create a religious group of some sort which eventually creates common goals. Someday religionists will get together and actually effect co-operation on the basis of unity of ideals and purposes rather than attempting to do so on the basis of psychological opinions and theological beliefs. Goals rather than creeds should unify religionists. Since true religion is a matter of personal spiritual experience, it is inevitable that each individual religionist must have his own and personal interpretation of the realization of that spiritual experience. Let the term "faith" stand for the individual's relation to God rather than for the creedal formulation of what some group of mortals have been able to agree upon as a common religious attitude. "Have you faith? Then have it to yourself."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Whoever said everyone had to be "uniform" or achieve "uniformity" in religion? Unity is the goal for the peace of the religionists in the world. Unity, not uniformity.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The religions of authority can only divide men and set them in conscientious array against each other; the religion of the spirit will progressively draw men together and cause them to become understandingly sympathetic with one another. The religions of authority require of men uniformity in belief, but this is impossible of realization in the present state of the world. The religion of the spirit requires only unity of experience--uniformity of destiny--making full allowance for diversity of belief. The religion of the spirit requires only uniformity of insight, not uniformity of viewpoint and outlook. The religion of the spirit does not demand uniformity of intellectual views, only unity of spirit feeling. The religions of authority crystallize into lifeless creeds; the religion of the spirit grows into the increasing joy and liberty of ennobling deeds of loving service and merciful ministration.
