My cat is a little over a year old, for a while now he eats constantly i mean all the time then he pukes it up and wants more food. He goes through a 3 lb bag of cat food in like 4 days. he eats every hour. everything else is normal his poop, he doesnt have worms and people keep assuring me hes okay but i cant handle this anymore. If i dont feed him when he wants he meows untill i do or he knocks his bowl around and gets into the dog food untill i do. Any one know what i should do or what could be wrong? or do i just have a fat spoiled cat?

Maybe if you fed a quality food, your cat could get more of what he needs and that may curve his appetite
Nutrition since there are so many bad things out there is very important to your cat’s health
Contrary to what you may have heard; dry foods are not a great thing to feed a cat.
Please read the label on what you are feeding? What are the ingredients? Do you know what they mean?
http://www.catinfo.org/#Learn_How_To_Read_a_Pet_Food_Ingredient_Label
Dry foods are the number 1 cause of diabetes in cats as well as being a huge contributing factor to kidney disease, obesity, crystals, u.t.i’s and a host of other problems. Food allergies are very common when feeding dry foods. Rashes, scabs behind the tail and on the chin are all symptoms
The problems associated with Dry food is that they are loaded with carbohydrates which many cats (carnivores) cannot process them. Also, Most of the moisture a cat needs is suppose to be in the food but in
Dry, 95% of it is zapped out of dry foods in the processing. Another thing, most use horrible ingredients and don't use a muscle meat as the primary ingredient and use vegetable based protein versus animal. Not good for an animal that has to eat meat to survive.
You want to pick a canned food w/o gravy (gravy=carbs) that uses a muscle meat as the first ingredient and doesn't have corn at least in the first 3 ingredients if at all. Fancy feast is a middle grade food with 9lives, friskies whiskas lower grade canned and wellness and merrick upper grade human quality foods. Also, dry food is not proven to be better for teeth. Does a hard pretzel clean your teeth or do pieces of it get stuck? http://www.felinefuture.com/nutrition/bpo_ch4a.php

Fast heartbeat can point out hyperthyroidism and will reason the cat to shed some pounds. That might cause them to dehydrated. Weakness may also be reason by means of potassium deficiency which will outcome the kidneys and be related to dehydration. The thing more is kidney situation are most of the time related to historical age and he's 14 and that historical for a cat. These are all treatable stipulations. So ask you vet approximately them. What do you imply by means of she off her meals. Is she now not consuming or did the vet take her off.

It sounds like your cat wants attention, and the way he's getting it is by wanting to eat, even when he's not hungry! I have indoor cats and an indoor dog. I have to keep their food separate.......only feed the dog am/pm, but leave food out for the cats (up on table so dog can't get it). It sounds like you won't be able to do the leaving out part, tho, since your cat wants to eat all the time. Maybe, instead of feeding him, when he starts knocking his bowl around, you should PLAY with him. If you can do this MOST of the times he wants to eat, and cut down on the number of times he gets fed, he won't throw it back up. Try that, and see if you have any luck with it. It could be that he'd like a "friend/playmate" to keep him occupied, too. Maybe, that's why he meows all the time...he's lonely! GOOD LUCK.

First, I agree that you should take him to the vet first. Also, some cats will eat when they are bored. Is he getting enough attention or stimilus?
I do have a friend who swears her cat is bulemic. He'll eat and eat until he throws up. She now has him on a set schedule and a timer for when she's not home.

First I'd take him to a vet as there is obviously something wrong! He's not spoiled, he's unwell.
Second, you may want to consider that he might be allergic to the food he's getting. Common allergens include wheat/corn/rice/soy.

my cat does the same thing when not fed wet cat food. Switch to a wet cat food and see if that helps.

have you taken your cat to the vet for a check up? If not, that's what I would do, especially if he is vomitting. They can take his blood and find out if there is something wrong.

Cats are meat eaters not cereal eaters. Take your cat off this type of food and feed it canned meat(good quality) I bet your cat drinks allot? and this is not good,it can lead to urinary infection, and diabetes
