I know some breeders do it so how is you force a pregnancy on a dog? My dog did it naturally, I am not sure I could force her.

I was reading another post and some so called experts were telling this girl that she forced her dog to get pregnant so I was just wondering how that conclusion was come to. I would say double standards and bullies

My personal belief is that if the dogs are not capable or willing to do it on their own, then they shouldn't be bred.
In circumstances, such as advanced age of the male or shipped in chilled semen, I can see the point of doing an AI.
There are b*tches who are too dominant or aggressive to allow a male to mount and tie... I believe this is an anamoly and so would not want her to have pups if she doesn't have the natural tendency to stand when she ought to.
I also do not believe in breeding a b*tch again who has required a c-section... and if her daughter ALSO required one, that genepool would END right there for me... why perpetuate inability to reproduce naturally.
However, I would not use a term such as "rape" in the case of a dog. Dogs are not human... they cannot give consent or lack thereof. In the wild there are male animals who procreate with unwilling females ALL THE TIME... in some cases I believe it is a way of ensuring that the strongest male creates off-spring.

i've heard of people chaining the female to a short leash and the male right next to her....
I'm not sure if this is force, but the breeder did it because the female would not breed with the male. They never had pups...
I wouldn't recommend forcing anything to breed. the female will breed when she's good and ready...
Plus spaying and neutering is better...

Well, you can do an AI, or a surgical implant. Guess that constitutes "force" in the vague sense.
You can "help" with a breeding so that a bit ch that may be skittish around the male, or not like that male, or is a first timer......whatever.
Not sure what kind of "force" you are looking for.

Not something any breeder I know would comtemplate. I doubt if it would work and it would be tantamount to rape. When the female is ready she will happily allow a mating. Nature shoud not be interfered with in this way.

I know someone who jacked off a bulldog once, in order to use his semen to impregnate her boxer. Does this count?
Thankfully, no puppies came out of that.
