you'll see your image on the back screen, but only for a second. My Kodak takes forever to go back to the "live shot" so I want a new camera with a quicker response time. What do I tell the salesman that I want a quicker....?

What you actually want is internal memory that writes the picture to the media quicker. There are high-speed memory sticks that will do that now.

You may also want to check your camera's settings, there may just be a setting that will let you return to the live view faster, but usually it's waiting for the write process to complete.

On my Kodak you can turn that feature off. I did because I didn't like it either. With it turned off it goes instantly to the 'live' view. It's in the settings somewhere.
