She's usually not withdrawn, and very playful in the mornings. I'm really worried about her...?

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the advice everyone.

My dad coaxed out from under the bed and she's had heaps of water and a little food. She was clingy for a while, but now she's almost back to normal... I'm still keeping an eye on her though!

Well, she's hiding because she knows she shouldn't go to the bathroom or puke in the house. She doesn't want to get punished. Chances are, she ate something goofy (maybe got into the trash or picked something up in the yard), and it made her stomache ache. I would give it a few days, and if she is still vomitting, take her to the vet.

Also, a good recipe for dogs for when they are having tummy issues, whether vommitting or diarrhea, is to boil up some rice, and add some chicken stock or chicken bouillon (just enough to give a hint of flavor-and make sure it doesn't have any onions or onion powder in it, because onions are as poisonous as chocolate to dogs). Make sure it's cooled down before feeding it to your pup. That usually helps harden up the stool and controls the need to vomit. Also, make sure to constantly pet and love on your dog when they are sick. Don't yell at them or spank them when they have accidents because they are sick, otherwise, they will become withdrawn when they get sick. But once they feel better, you can go back to correcting them however you feel necessary, whenever they have an accident in the house.

Anyway, hope your pup feels better.

oh my it could be parvo.i know all about it if she is vomiting and not playing those are two symptoms of parvo. okay call the vet, or watch her if she starts having blood in her stool get he to the vet immdiently, now let me warn you most vets wont treat parvo so call around and get one that will. and let me warn you once more if that is what she has they will want to keep her until she is better. and once more parvo is deadly out of 50 dog usually only 38-40 will die. my cousins dog had parvo and he was all most gone before they got to the vet but thankfully he lived and was back home in four days.

Check the vomit so you might have a clue what made her sick. If she remains withdrawn for the next 3 hours, take her to the vet.

Since she vomited and is hiding under the bed, I would take her to the vet since she's acting unnormal. Is she still eating and drinking and still going to the bathroom.

Depending on why she vomitted, she may still feel unwell. If that is what you think then keep her on water only for 24hrs and see what happens. If she got into trouble for being sick, then maybe she thinks you are still angry and you will have to coax her out.

The canine is going below there to experience risk-free and shelter. perchance she considers your mom of challenge and sounds like a thank you to get removed from her is below the mattress. that should make experience if she is going below the mattress and could no longer come out from below it till your mom has left the room.
