i live and tend bar in the caribbean on the island where they make cruzan rum
since absolute bought the rum factory down here have you state side bartenders seen my islands rum making its way to the states?

I've seen it in the Military PX's/Exchanges (in San Diego CA). I don't think I've ever seen it in the stores...but then again, I've not specifically gone looking.

It has been in Canada for at least 5 years and is starting to make quite a stir . The aged rums 5 year old and Single Barrel are the best you can get for the money while the flavored rums are selling like wildfire. The biggest difference you here is that Malibu is a liqueur that is flavored with rum while Cruzan is rum flavored with real fruit.

I've had Pussers. It is good. Not sure about Cruzan. I like Barbancourt 5 star... a nice easy drinking Hatian rum. I downed every kind of Havana Club in Cuba.... went to the distillery. Not sure if it was the mystique or that I could buy the Habana Club Anejo (by the bottle) for 4 dollars US but It was fantastic. Cheers.

I've seen it in bars especially a local Bay Area chain restaurant/ bar called Elephant Bar. I'm glad to see it popping up since I am a fan of good rum. My favorite- Flor De Cana from Nicaragua has popped up here and there too, which makes me think top shelf rums may be an oncoming fad. Rums like Pyrat now made by the makers of Patron are definetely fueling this fire.

I have been drinking it for at least 5 years. The aged rums are some of the best value rums on the market, in my opinion. The 2 year with a lime and a little soda is wonderful.

Cruzan rum has been sold in liquor stores in New England for years. Was drinking some with a friend Friday night, he got it as a gift from someone who lives on your island. St. Croix

Cruzan has been available here in the USA for quite a bit now as a specialty and in home bars as a favorite. Having Absolute buy it just me and wider distribution and possibly better price points to encourage more bars to carry it.

Yes, Cruzan has even sponsored outrigger canoe races in Southern California.
