You will never be allowed back into the Navy with an Re-4. It doesn't matter what your separation code is, or if you got an honorable discharge. You have to send an application to the Board of Naval Records Corrections requesting a change. The odds that they will change it are slim. Plus, it takes about 7 months for a response.
Two years ago I asked my skipper to discharge me. I told him that I thought I'd made a mistake by enlisting and I wanted out. He allowed me to be separated and told me that if I changed my mind I was welcome back. The Navy gave me Uncharacterized Entry Level Separation, Separation code JGA, and RE code 4. Seven months ago I sent an application to the BCNR requesting that they change the RE-4 to RE-3 or less, and yesterday they denied it. I now have an attorney that is going to help me appeal the case. It's going to be a long wait, and now that I've sworn into the National Guard, I have a little more patience. I figure if the BCNR won't change the RE code, then I'll get another one from the National Guard when I finish my three year enlistment and that should override the other. Good luck to you.

No. You were discharged for a medical condition which existed prior to enlistment and which is disqualifying under paragraph 2-27(g) of AR 40-501: Standards of Medical Fitness. Your discharge was handled in accordance with BUMEDINST 1910.3 Series.
That removes any chance of enlisting in any other branch of the armed forces as well.

Do you cannot re-enlist or enlist in any branch of the military. You cannot even enlist in the reserves. Your only chance is to get citizenship in another country, join the Foreign Legion, or go join someone's guerrilla army. When you went through de-briefing I am sure you was told what would happen if you took that way out.

The Navy is being extremely picky about who they're taking back, and usually you can't get back in with a RE4. You could try the National Guard though... they can get waivers for everything, usually!

I am thinking no... I was medically discharge in 2005 and it was mandatory to be briefed by the reserve recruiter on base and he said that I was not eligible to rejoin BECAUSE it was medical. I guess your best bet would be to call a recruiter.

Yes, you would have to send in a request to the board of naval review. Contact a recruiter about how to do it and where you would send for your district
