I live in the republic only 10 miles from Crossmaglen, but I'd like to have a look around Crossmaglen. Is there likely to be animosity there to someone with a British accent who has a complete dis-interest in the whole sectarian thing?

I don't see why you would have a problem. Especially as there are two sides to what you call 'the sectarian thing'. It's just as dangerous for people from the Republic to travel into Northern Ireland.

I think I'd be a bit nervous. Unfortunately, you can't guarantee that someone won't want to stick their nose in your business.
