Allow me to counter uh duh's response..

1st 300 plus games are being released for the ps3 in the next few months. Rockstar says the 360 version of GTA4 is delayed because of the 360 and is more costly because the 360 game will have to be on more than 1 disk, which raises the production cost.

2nd Ps3 uses blueray for one reason, more space for games because Hidef games need more space for the graphic files. It has nothing to do with being a blueray player. Why do you think you have to download all that extra content all the time on the 360?

3rd The 60 g ps3 is fully backwards capable. It uses the emotion chip and it plays and upscales all the ps2 and ps1 games to hidef.

4th The frame rate is capable of going as high if not higher than the 360. Frame rate is decided by the game programmers and what they feel the game needs. By the way higher frame rates 60+ are necessary for BD movies. Damn they play nice on the Ps3.

5th Yes you can browse the internet using your computer but does everyone have to hang over your shoulder while watching humorous videos on the tiny 19 inch monitor or isn't it more fun to watch them using your ps3 with your friends on the Big 52 inch Plasma screen?

6th Game companies aren't charging the people Microsoft is charging the people to play online!

7th The Cell Broadband processor makes it possible for millions of calculations to be completed at one time. That's what a game actually is. Millions and millions of calculations.

8th The GPU is created by Nvidia, I doubt you have any experience with gaming hardware. On the Ps3 the graphics memory is not shared with the system memory. If you look at the 360 the memory it boast of is shared with the rest of the system. Why do you think some games don't run on PCs? It's because the memory is shared so people run out and buy Nvidia GPU cards.

9th If the new cheaper 65nm chip fights RROD then why is Microsoft releasing a fix for the 360 late Dec. or early Jan.

10th Sony doesn't force you to buy anything. The games are on Blueray because they need more space for graphics remember. It's great that we can also watch movies. Microsoft does as it always has done it dipps into your pocket for more and more. I bet they will even charge for the RROD fix.

11th The hddvd player on the 360 is sold seperately because the games for the 360 are still ON Dual Layered 8.4 G DVDS!!!!!!!! Ps3 games are on 50 g Blueray. More space = better games!!!!!!!!!!!!!

12th Ps3 are selling well because they are a full HiDef gaming computer and the 360 is a game console.

13th The ps3 sales are going up because we are heading into the holiday season when most people buy big ticket items.

14th Microsoft owns Halo but they do not own Bungie and Bungie made Halo and is in the process of making FPS games for the Ps3.

15th Online on the ps3 network is packed with people and there is very little lag and it's free. Xboxlive international is all lag and it's down alot.

The ps3 is superior in every way to the Xbox 360 that is why Microsoft is scrambling to get it right.

As far as the first person answering the same everytime is maybe it is because the question gets asks all the time and all Xbox 360 owners can say is "PS3 sucks get the 360"

I could easily counter the first answers arguement

#1 the PS3 is too compilcated to make games for and alot of third party games end up getting delayed or canceled

#2 the Ps3 gives you bluray, which makes producing games more costly, thus having games not made for it

#3 the new PS3 has no backwards compalibility for it, so the PS3 can't play PS2 games on HD

#4 5the framerate for PS3 games are horrible, destorying any of its better graphic quality

#5 Um there is a place where you browse the internet, watch videos, and print stuff. Its called a computer

#6 Companys can charge people money to play their games online, as the servers are not free

#7 exactly how the 8 cell proceesor going to do any effect on shooting or playing a video game. You go that far to the Hardware to find the every bit of info to so the PS3 is better

#8 the PS3 graphic processor is too unorganized and the PS3 has to little memory to make excellent graphics

PS3 is $499 and the Xbox 360 Elite is $479. $20 dollar difference...

PS3 games produced are on Hd 50gig blueray (more space for better graphics without sacrificing game levels and game size..) GTA4 developers even stated that the game will have better graphics and gaming on the ps3 version and are having issues with the 360 version because of 8gig dvd game format... They may have to make the 360 version on multiple disc so if you like getting out of your chair alot while playing, .....

THe elite and 360 requires Microsoft harddrives only- for a 20gig it's $100, for the 120 it's $189

360 -elite for wifi you have to pay an additional $100 and online gaming is $50 a year...And for that $50 a year to play online you also get stuck with third party in menu advertising...

To use 60% of what the 360 and elite can do you have to buy the addons and you'll spend over $750 before you even insert a game.

THe elite and new 360s hdmi, 65nm, red ring of death--Microsoft has no Idea what the cause is, You can't fix what you can't find. So yes they are all vulnerable.

THe 360 sales numbers are game producer driven by three titles HALO, bioshock ( rumored to be multiplatform soon and availble to the pc now) and Gears of war (available to the PC now)...If it wasn't for those titles many gamers wouldn't tolerate the limitations and engineering flaws of the 360

Get the ps3 you can use it for so much more. We own all three. THe wii, elite and ps3... The ps3 will take you into the next two generations of game consoles... The 360 will have to be re deigned or another generation produced by 2009
