Let people know about each other, and cherish the beauty of nature and our only place( planet).
For some people, they are making money from.

I think it helps us to understand different cultures, makes us more tolerant of what we don't know and helps others understand us.
It's also vital for the economy, and whilst yes people make money out of it, people have employment, and people make money out of far worse things than tourism.

There's a famous quote from the author Mark Twain that sums up the answer to this:

If you travel, and meet people, see how they live, what they enjoy, what they eat, immerse yourself in their culture...you'll widen your own horizons and see the world you live in in a different way.
