Like every other medication, Levaquin has a list of side effects a mile long. And, yes, vomiting is way up there near the top of the list. Dizziness, not so much. And, yes, you should consult your doctor. Why would you ask that? If at any time you have a question about a medicine and/or potential side effects, you should always ask your doctor. Or ask a pharmacist. To tell you the truth, most pharmacists know more about medicines, side effects, adverse reactions, and drug interactions than many doctors, but you are still going to have to discuss it with your doctor if you feel you need an alternate medication. Here is a website with all the info you need about Levaquin: http://www.drugs.com/pdr/levaquin.html
Read up on it and then decide if you need to contact your doctor.

Levaquin is a highly effective antibiotic but it will make you sick as a dog. If you are feeling too bad, ask your doctor for another script such as keflex.

Tori : If the medication is causing pain, I would stop taking the medication and when you get back to your homeplace, I would try to get into the doctor as quickly as possible. You must be careful going off of medication because symptoms can come back worse than before. It's really your call. You must weigh the pro's and con's of the medication before doing something extravagant, like quitting the medication. Is there a doctor in the vicinity of your location ? Keep me informed of your situation. I hope everything goes ok.

those are less serious side effects and you should continue taking it. You should also consult with your physician about these side effects, especially if they get bothersome.
