It's possible, But VERY uncomfortable, (and for some, painful). Talk to an anesthesiologist about it, maybe they can recommend an alternative sedative.

There are different kinds of sedatives. Perhaps you were sensitive to the one you had, but there are others that may not produce the same symptoms. I don't believe you'd want to undergo the colonoscopy without some sedation, as it is not a very pleasant procedure, and doctors don't want to do these things when a patient is fully conscious. It makes their job harder, and the procedure would be harder on you. Talk to your doctor and let him know what happened the last time, so they can change or adjust your sedative to make you more comfortable without any aftereffects. Good luck!

I had this technique carried out with sedation. A sigoscope became refrained from. that is much less evasive than the colonoscope. you ought to have been allergic to the sedative. they are able to seem this up and discover out what they gave you, to make optimistic they use something else. in case you dare to be courageous you may definately have the technique with out sedation. I even have heard that that is extremely uncomfortable...the clarification at the back of the sedation.

Yes, if you are into that sort of thing I hear it can be quite enjoyable. Assure the right doctor you know what you are doing and they will gladly do it your way...some will even ditch the lubricant for a mere well-folded and discreetly passed sawbuck. I think there is a directory of "participating physicians" on the official Nine Inch Nails website.

I don't see why not, but it will be all sorts of painful and uncomfortable. My Dad has those yearly and is sedated but still says it hurts when he is done.
