I am quite sure there are since we are all born into this world as Atheists- without belief in anything supernatural or the presence of deities or a deity. We are raised or taught and choose to believe. But we are all inherently born without belief.I, on the other hand, was born into this world Atheist who became Christian only to realize that I had abandoned reality and thus switched back to Atheism.

Many of Christianities best proponents were atheists.
John Newton - slave captain to minister and writer of Amazing Grace... "amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me..."
C.S. Lewis. - wrote Mere Christianity and many more Christian apologetic books.
Alister McGrath... recently debated Richard Dawkins...
http://www.rzim.org/resources/
Lee Stroebel - wrote Case for Christ, Case for Faith, Case for the Creator and some others.
Here is what C.S. Lewis said about his conversion...
That which I greatly feared had at last come upon me. In the Trinity Term of 1929 I gave in, and admitted that God was God, and knelt and prayed: perhaps, that night, the most dejected and reluctant convert in all England. I did not then see what is now the most shining and obvious thing; the Divine humility which will accept a convert even on such terms. The Prodigal Son at least walked home on his own feet. But who can duly adore that Love which will open the high gates to prodigal who is brought in kicking, struggling, resentful, and darting his eyes in every direction for a chance of escape?"
God Bless
Todd
P.S. I can't tie it to any one thing that brought me back but I guess the faith of my Dad and Grandmother.

I was atheist at one point.
I had been impervious to argument from the side of faith because all such arguments are by definition partially irrational. Then I met a brilliant christian who replied that being perfectly rational excluded a whole segment of the human experience for which we cannot otherwise feel or account. Like love, that great irrational trip.
Another friend, an agnostic friend, convinced me of the truth that our Egos are separate and that they tend to divide us from one another and cause us to stop loving one another. I came to see and to experience this as true.
Then I read this sequence of books, which did me in:
Hustom Smith, Beyond the Postmodern Mind
Abolition of Man, CS Lewis
Aldous Huxley, The Perennial Philosophy
George Lakoff, Moral Politics
Marcus Borg, The Heart of Christianity

I was more so agnostic for the first 20 years of my life. I was always open to the idea of a creator, but never really believed it. I came to know Jesus at the age of 20 and my life has been so much better because of it :)
I wouldn't have considered myself an atheist, but I went through a couple years of denying the existence of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

Typical child of the '60's. I left the Catholic Church but came back around 1986 when my daughter entered a parochial school and it was mandatory to go to church. I did not realize how beautiful & inspirational mass is and how much I missed it.

Yes.
I am Christian (I put my faith and trust in the love and mercy of the one true God, and rejoice in the covenant of the New Testament for the salvation of my eternal soul) and a mathematician/scientist.
When I was quite a bit younger, yes, I was "atheist".
Then, I began reading the Holy Bible with an open mind and an open heart. The more I read, the hungrier I became for the Word of God.

Mmmm.... if your an atheist, then i dont see how you can ever go back to being a christian. I was sorta a christian, but i left it because it was all full of bull and gave it up. Atheism however, is pretty retarded. An organization that goes against deities? i mean seriously, what a waste of time. I just live life simple. Theres only one simple thing. AFTERLIFE

"A Case For Christ" is by a man named Lee Strobel who as an atheist set out to write a book disproving Christ and in the process of research for his book, because a Christian and wrote "A Case For Christ" proving the exact opposite of what he had believed his whole life. It's excellent and you can buy it on Amazon for a great price.

I used be an athiestic Jesus lover. I now beleive a secondary story where our leaders are crooked and that UFO's carry Jesus's messengers. Did you know that Jesus was an alien and that the jews were just confused? There are a lot of alien life form believers that used to be in the dark. Believing in aliens and loving Jesus makes me a better cristian because Jesus loved all his babies, even alien ones.

I find it hard to believe that anyone who has really though through the implications of religious belief, and understands that faith based reasoning is all subjective, would give up on reason for faith.
Unless they were infused with some level of faith to begin with, and couldn't get rid of their upbrining.
