so I took a girl out two weeks ago, she was really excited and the date went very well, I waited five days to call her and thanked her for going to dinner with me and asked her out again, she seemed excited and said that would be verry good. I told her I would take her to a movie or to a party (i wasn't sure how comfortable she was with me). She took a very long time to respond (txt) as she usually does, but when she did it said "I just got a boyfriend so dating isn't an option any more, but I would love to hang out sometime if that's cool.

I know I got shot down and there's probably not another guy, but I'm really shook up about it. Her X treated her like crap and to think that someone would go out with him and then shoot me down kills me. (not to be self-centered)

I know you guys don't know her or I, but what do you guys think? what went wrong?

honestly? either you took to long to say that you had a nice time ( i like to be called w/in the day or 2) or she just wasnt that into you. OR she was already seeing this guy when you took her out, which would b my guess! her loss! move on!

Sometimes girls find themselves attracted to a certain type of man, and sadly for some girls that type of man is the type that treats her badly - they might know that its wrong, but it's what they know and feel comfortable with. So maybe you just weren't what she was looking for. The best you can do is pray for this girl that she find happiness, with a man who will treat her well. And who knows, maybe she really does have a boyfriend, and the timing just wasn't right for you.

It's her loss. Don't dwell on one bad fish out of the plenty of them that are still out there that are actually worth bothering with. It isn't your problem, so I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure you're a really great guy and you'll find a girl that appreciates you and wants to be with you if you are just patient and let them come to you. :]
