Some store charge accounts are easier to get than a major credit card. The interest is high and the limit low. Have you tried to apply for a store card?

The trend seems to be that some stores no longer handle their own credit card accounts. You end up with a Visa or Mastercard thru Chase with the store name on it.

Maybe start with a regular credit card and build your credit. Retail/Department Store credit cards have a really high interest rate and have strict criteria.
