because they are being fast and don't really care about spelling as long as they comunicated what they want.

This falls into two distinct categories.
1. The rise of e-mail and other electronic forms of communication prompted many to believe the written word had become informal. Thus, the majority of people do not care to look over what they have written or take pride in it.
2. The increase of electronic writing aids acted as language calculators for the masses. As a result, overall writing ability has been degraded. An increased reliance on spell checking software and even grammar checking software has made us all lazy.

Most people aren't illiterate, but may type fast, be in a hurry, or just don't care as long as the general message gets typed. Some don't use check spelling because they don't take the time. No biggee, is it? Just be thankful they care enough to help someone (unless they are rude and we can then delete them). Compassion goes a long way even if some people can't spell it. I use check spelling, so I may look literate. But I may be the dumbest person here today. Just know how to use check spelling. In other words, just tolerate the mistakes and take them as love and caring. Too many other things people may be good at. What are you good at? Spelling? And what else? We all can't be perfect in all things. Relax.

Nobody is perfect!and so can you....If you're smart enough,It shouldn't matter how they spell the word is,You should be able to cath-up,and get what they meant...Sometimes they rush to submit, that they don't even realised they have spelled it wrongly! But,the reason why we were here,And joined Yahoo Q/A and to be apart of it is,To give an answer to the question. And we shouldn't under estimate them,The way they spelled out the words,or their english,or whatsoever,We Shouldn't look down on them.We should help them out instead...I hope I have not offended you...If so...I'm sorry bout it...

Probably because this is not a school assignment. But it would be nice if some would use the spell check feature once in awhile!

perhaps this is a method used to select a best answer. if there is one lone person who actually can interpret and answer the question, then this person obviously earns 10 points.
of course, laziness may be a contributing factor.

We can thank our public school systems for that I think. At least in TX the illiteracey rate of the average HS graduate is substantially higher than it should be. "points curves" are tools used to force a passing score on students who would otherwise fail without them. All this to keep americans "stupid" in the interest of maintaining reasonably good looking graduation rates for most public school districts.
