We live in Cleveland, Ohio and as far as I know Wright-Patterson is the closest base. I was thinking of going down there to do some Christmas shopping but since it's 3 hours away I'd rather not waste my time if it is not a good exchange. Could someone let me know?! Thank you so much.

It was pretty good when I shopped there in 2003. You might want to also check out the exchange at the Air Reserve Base in Youngstown. It's right across the road from the regional airport there. The source below is the link to their web site. I also shopped there in 2003 when I went to all of the minor league parks in Ohio, including the one in Lake County east of you.

I don't have personal knowledge of the base exchange. The area around the base does have plenty of shopping though. Some very good Christmas attractions too. Wright Pats website does not list the shopping though.

You should call them and ask what products they carry.

With Gas prices the way they are these days, I would call before making a 6 hour round trip.
