Mottled Dove has a point. We've got satellites combing every inch of the planet. If the immortal blood-drinking variet of vampires existed, they'd have a hell of a time staying under the radar.
It's like I always say with the theory of Atlantis.... If I can take a picture of my house from space, WHY haven't the world's most brilliant minds found even a single brick of the city?
Because it's a story.

What I wondered about in that movie, was if they are Vampires, why did they waste so much blood?
I don't know. I don't think they could support themselves in a modern city. Even with a gang of about 20 of them, thats a lot of systematic sustained killings that's going to arouse someone's suspicions.
In a rule area it may be more plausible. mayby deep Africa or South America, maybe a Mountainous region.

Possible but not likely. After all these thousands and thousands of years of mankind I think there would be a fair amount of evidence, but then again,.... you never know!
I would love the opportunity to interview someone that old. Oh the things they have seen. Oh the things I could learn.
