Who has had mice? Any tips, any stories, characters, interesting foods ect.... =]

Awww, mice are so cute. We've only got 1 now, she's really old & her cage-mates have passed. She's black & kinda longhaired, with a white "lightening bolt" over 1 eye & a few other white markings. Even tho we've had her for well over a year she's still scared of us-- she'll eat from my hand & let me pet her but just barely & it took awhile to get her to this point.
It amazes me that someone as small as a mouse can have an individual personality, but we've had friendly mice (mostly), timid mice, playful mice & no 2 have been the same. The coolest mouse I ever lived with was Depeche, who was so playful & friendly she was almost like a tiny rat.

I have had mice before. They are fun little pets. My first mouse I had when I was still in school. She used to explore things on my desk while I did homework. She also liked traveling around the house in a very small wicker basket or in my shirt pocket. I used to feed her a little taste of whatever I was eating. I now know not everything I eat is healthy for a mouse. Don't feed them junk food. Mice love breakfast cereals, fresh vegetables and fruit. Mine liked tofu.

I have rats. They love peach yogurt and my rat has had babies 6 times. Wow! Funny eh? FYI don't keep a pregnant female rat in a plastic cage. Mine rats chewed a hole through the plastic cage and got out of the garage. Luckily they were on the front step the next morning and we had to buy them and glass aquarium with holes in the top but they were okay other than a few scabs and a little bleeding.
