My husband's best man held on to both my engagement ring and my wedding band. My husband slipped them both on at once.

Yes that is what most brides do and then after the ceremony you join it with your wedding band on your left hand although my sister wears her wedding band on her elft hand and her engagement ring on her right hand. It is a personal preference and a personal choice.

I put mine on my right hand and then after the ceremony I switched it over on top of the band. Everyone wanted to see the rings when we were at the reception, so make sure you have them both on your left hand before you get there.

That's how it usually goes.
Some women leave it and then switch the positions later so the wedding ring is on the bottom.

You can wear it and then add the wedding band, or you can have the ring bearer or best man hold both and have your husband slip both on your finger.

i'm getting mine bonded together, so that way he'll just be putting both on my finger at the same time. i can deal with not wearing my engagement ring for a few days.

i realize that it seems to be the norm to wear the wedding band then the engagement ring but... i would do engagement ring then the wedding band... to hold that promise in place... but that is just me... then you can wear them as they were given to you... first the promise to marry... then the promise to always love you!! aaawww that is kinda sweet...

The maid of honor holds it until they ask for the exchanging of the rings. She gives it to the groom who puts both of them on your hand. That's what I was told by my aunt, because I'm getting married too.
