seem to be "God has revealed himself to me" and "There is no evidence."

Christians, if God had not revealed himself to you, would you agree that there was no evidence?

wow interesting perception.

and wouldnt that mean that if god didnt reveal himself, then our not believing should be blamed on him, and to punish us for our nonbelief is anything other than just. (especially for those of us who have analytical minds)

i dont star many questions, but this definitely gets one.

Yeah. Thats exactly what I personally believe.

There is no way to prove a spiritual truth by scientific means. And if you will only acknowledge and accept a scientific truth, then you are right. As far as I know there is no proof that would be acceptable to you.

It is also my belief however, that God is revealed in many ways and in many forms. Just because you are looking for the reverend Pat Robertson to convince you doesn't mean that you haven't experienced God's presence.

I believe the Creator exsits in every spiritual experience, no matter whether its had by a Pagan, a Hindu a Buddhist or a Christian, or an Atheist.

Just because it wouldn't be recognized by a "born-again Christian" doesn't mean a spiritual experience was false or non-exsistant.

But you're right. If God hasn't revealed him/her/them selves to you then how could you believe? Unless you look for yourself you may not have a spiritual experience.

I have no problem meeting you halfway on that. God does have to reveal Himself as God does all the leading. I would submit to you however, that just because God reveals Himself and offers the evidence, that many choose to ignore him. Because God will reveal Himself to all who seek Him with an earnest heart. Most people are afraid to seek, though.

lol.
Okay, for serious. The fact that there is no evidence is exactly the point. It's called faith. If there was evidence, that would be science. Science has nothing to do with faith.

On the other hand, is God a registered sex offender? That would be enough evidence for me.

Yes for then I would be among the 'blinded' to the truth.
My eyes were opened because Jesus revealed Himself to ME not because of the 'evidence' of His existence.
