Does it ever blow your mind to see some of the answers about the existence (or as some people think) the lack of existence of God? Some of the comments that people make about our living God would scare me just to think about typing them. I believe in the almight, all power God, who controls the universe; to think about making a mockery of His name puts a fear in my heart. I believe that a person will reap what they sow; and if they continue to sow seeds of hatred and disbelieve, I worry about the harvest.

To Eleventy: Thanks for sharing that -- I guess I never put myself in your shoes. I guess you understand how different we see things, huh?

Where I get most concerned is when people type that Gods Word or God is Evil. This is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. It isn't forgiven today or tomorrow. So? There will be immediate conscequences. Just like the Pharasees who told Jesus that the healing miracles were of demonic spirits. People have done this on Yahoo Q&A also. God doesn't just wink at this.
I am one that believes one can be forgiven once they realize the error of blaspheming God, but then they have to repent to God about it. And they usually have to go through a bit of hell before they realize they were wrong. Then when they repent, Jesus shed blood washes away all their sin.

If a Non-Believer says,"How do you Believe in something you cannot prove?"
Then the Believer says, " because i know it to be true."
NOn-Believer " you dont know." You Hope."
thats all a believer is someone that believes that they might have a chance at something better out there. After death of course.
A non-believer obviously doesn't believe that anything happens after you die.
So they are going to make the best out of life and do everything they can to have a great and Prosporous life.
Are they wrong for not Believing something so far-fetched. No.
Are believers wrong for believing something so far fetched.No.
Does it really matter who is right or wrong. No. You cant prove it or Disprove it either way. There is no evidence that supports this lifetime Debate 100% either way. So you have people on both sides of the fence. And some that are still on the fence.
My only proposition is that no matter what side of the fence your on. Make sure the grass is always green. Because when its over its over. God or No God. I believe in God. I live every day like it was my last and dont have any regrets. So when the end comes. and if there is a God. Then im going to be really happy. and i will die Happy. and i will go where i deserve to go .
If there isnt a God. I will die. and i will die happy and i will not have any regrets as to why i didnt do it all different.
I just hope that everyone would try that out.

Forums like this are actually an expose to the world we live in. When you compare it's responses and points of view to the shocking stories you see on the news at night, you begin to understand it. People are the living pieces to the puzzle of ths world.
Evil begins in the 'heart'. The body doesn't act alone. So, it venomously attacks all things good. Except when convenient of course. That's why it is the way it is. And yes it will continually reap all that it has sown. You're witnessing just some of its ugly side here. And one day if God wills, 'it' will do to us the same abominable things it claims we have done to it.

My mind is blown by seemingly angry non-believers who go out of there way to respond to a question specifically addressed to believers.
But, look at it this way.
I came to Christ six years ago, and was baptized three years ago.
My parents raised me to respect others, and I don't have the internalized anger that a lot of folks on-line have, but I would have laughed at . . and did laugh at, believers not too long ago.
I knew they were fools -- silly, uninformed, simple-minded people who didn't understand science or human nature.
Until God opened my eyes. ( I once was lost, but now am found. Was blind, but now, I see.)
I think it's easier for me to have the love and sympathy for non-believers that Christ tells us to have, because I know what it's like to be them.
I didn't grow up in church, I didn't grow up reading the Bible. I didn't attend church 12 times in 30 years. So I understand where the non-believers are coming from.
And don't worry too much about people mocking God . . . God doesn't need more people defending God's name. God needs more people being God's hands and heart and helping people who need help.
Godspeed.

Nothing said on here surprises me.... It is written that those who do not know God will scoff and laugh and deny Him.... Those who are not Gods are enemies , and they are NOT under the same guidiance , rules, obligations, understandings we are, nor can they be..... The harvest of the saints will be what it is, we have NO power over the outcome, we are comissiond to spread the word, plant the seeds of truth, the Holy Spirit is the ONLY power to open and change a heart........ My greatest prayer is for ALL man kind to KNOW God, the rest is between them and God...... go in peace....... God bless

God gave us free will in this world along with an instruction book. he also sent many teachers and tools to guide us, whether we choose to accept the teachings are not it is up to us. there has been moses , paul , buddha, john paul 2, and the great jesus. we even know in our hearts what is right and wrong. people can say what they want, but just when jesus sent his disciples to spread the word of God, he told them to shake the dust from your feet, and that is what we all need to do. we don't need to scorn people who don't beleive, because that is not God's way and doing so will make the atheist believe they are more right because we don't really believe IN Gods power if we don't follow his ways...and Jesus spoke out against the Hypocrites more than the atheist.

Hey chococof!
I think you should be more concened for those who use the name of Jesus but are lost in methods and traditions. They teach their children the same and these children grow up thinkin they know something about the saviour who they have never met.
Don't be upset with scoffers. They havn't seen the light. How can they possibly believe in someone so mysterious as God?
Pray then, insted of being confused, that God send them mesengers to seed and water them and the Holy Spirit to convict save and seal them.
Gypsy Priest
P.S. Jesus was not angry with the croud. He was angry at the ones who claimed to have the truth, who studied the scriptures diligently but didn't know the living God. Hfe refered to them as snakes and he yelled at them in anger!

I am never amazed by what people write here, I believe everyone is right in their heart if they are bearing good fruit. If you have no enemies or very very few, especially if your enemies are Christians. It always bothered me that I was raised christian and some of the people who hate me the most are Christians I grew up with. I believe that "God" has many faces and that he understands every-ones heart. I also believe that God controls "Karma".

I was once a believer, and like you, I was afraid to even contemplate such things. But as an adult, I've finally learned to put childish things away. And now I can see that all the fear, all the mistrust in reason, all the fear of the body is just part of the childish fables that were once foisted on me as "the truth".
I'm glad I've learned to put away childish things. I still enjoy reading the bible, but it's meaning (such as it is) is certainly not what it used to be for me. If only the change had happened earlier!

Yes, it does disturb me a bit. It hurts me to see so many people that are so lost. It is so wonderful to know the unconditional love of God. It is so wonderful to know the forgiving power of Christ. It's so fantastic to know the passion that is within a believer's heart that is brought by the Holy Spirit. It bothers me to see that people don't have true joy in their lives that can ONLY be brought on by God. I saddens me that people will not open their hearts to God and His almighty transforming power.
