on the radio, a question was asked that I found interesting. You awaken one day, you have super powers, like all the super heros and villians in comic books. You are can not be stopped, controlled or contained.

would you chose to not use those powers living as you are now, or would you try to be a real super hero, or just be a criminal,

remember, are are the authority, you answer to no one but yourself

edit, this is a moral and spiritual issue more than any other

lavishme and matt j., your answers are what scare me, as they hit too close to home, I am what one would call a wild child tamed by the love of a woman who is no more, the bible controls me now, and that I fight with sometimes, Most take a noble path, but me, I run ahead of wisdom too often, self serving only harming myself

sips with a fist, what you ask is what concerns me, and hense the question. I'm only self policing as long as I have a mirror to look into, with superpower, would I care or bother to look

hot momma, having a body does not give power, unless the one beholding you yeilds it. I tend not to, unless it is in and out of love, not to be confused with sex. the greater always blesses the lessor, and in this case, that might not happen

landon, as you know a wild child can and is often their own worse enemy. I have good friends, and for that i'm lucky. They are mirrors for me, chiding me, or letting me know i'm playing with fire.

gurlhorse1, what concerns me is how I could think i'm going to do good and not do that. I explained the bible keeps me in check now, but I am still wild and i will always have that wild streak wanting to run free. think of the issue more like mission creep

msenoirpogi, I don't think you understood the question. The issue of what the mind will do, (and I know the bible verses) is the whole issue of the question. you choose to go good, but you don't do it, Romans 7, you don't mean to do evil but you do it, romans 8.
hense the question,

creatrix, somehow I missed you today, you are right about the changing in the phone booth, and getting sleep, but would you stay pure to the cause?

as this is coming to a close for the day, I thought I would tell all of you something funny. I take meds to function, without them I zone into a fuzzy world and start to slip into a coma. The meds mostly work but not always. I have hit the report button over and over today to post a comment and then spend time trying to figure out what the problem is. I know my meds aren't working as well as they did in 2004 when the VA got the right stuff for the illness they deny I have. in the military, perception is reality, and my perception is really messed up. So bear with me in these questions and answers, as honestly, somethings I have written on re-reading, I am distressed at seening not what I thought I wrote, but gibberish. This is one of the main reasons I asked this question. Would I charge out front thinking i'm doing good but advance the human race no-where?

What's the old adage about absolute power and corruption again?

It's inevitable, despite how many voice their good intentions. It first starts with a little mis-step, then correcting somebody who deserves it, then stretching the limits a wee bit (because, hey, we're only human) and the next thing you know, you're saying "who cares what YOU think" and then you are squashing people like bugs in order to get them to fear your beautiful power which you wield for your OWN benefit.

Whew, that was a mouthful.

Anybody who says otherwise has never held a position of great power. Just go ask any geek who's played Dungeons and Dragons where all of this goes. LOL

I would think a super hero would get very frustrated after a while, I mean the crime rate is such, with so many crimes happening every second, that you can't be everywhere, and do everything at once. That is why Spiderman is so popular, he is as much tormented by his inability to save everyone as anything else.

So I'll pass on the super powers and leave them to mythological deities that don't exist anyway.

I would protect those weaker than I , serve in the ways of truth and justice I would not get involved with the government as they would see me as a weapon and want to controll me as for their own wicked purpose I would try to live a normal life keep everything a secret try. And try to find something i beleive in.. as I am right now hha I too am a wildchild not yet tamed though

Being born Again in the Spirit of God.my mind is in Christ Jesus! Therefore even with such vain imagination you have presented, i won't even dare to imagine such kind of imagination, for only the Power of the Holy Spirit can have such power, other wise the adversary the devil is also powerful, that's why we are warned to flee away from the devil not fight with him for only God and Lord Jesus Christ has the power over him!

Php 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Php 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
Php 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
Php 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
That slowly i am learnign to let my mind be conformed to the mind of Christ. AMEN.

i think that i'd try to use it for the good... i wouldn't want it to be wasted by not using it.i would want to live a normal life, but that would be hard if everyone knew about it. i'm thinking i'd seek God's help on this one. y'know... what i should do. who i should help. you said i don't have to answer to anyone... but that would be somewhat dangerous i think. i mean... if i could do anything in the world w/o answering for it... i'd be a bad being. i would want to answer to God. to keep me in check. because i know that if i didn't... i'd end up doin something awful (i won't name it).

I'd have to use it to help people... but would I still have to have a job? That Clark Kent changing in phonebooths thing would get on my nerves. I mean, even SuperCreatrix needs a nap once in awhile.

depends. id be like superman. trying to live a normal life, but would use my powers to protect innocents at the same time.

i'd have no reason to roam around stealing things. *shrug*
like a video game, they are no fun if you cheat at them. life would be no fun if you got everything u wanted without having to work for it.

neither. if I was that powerful, I wouldn't need to steal anything...killing would be pointless. not sure, really...I'd be self serving most likely, but not villainous.
