Hard drinks have alcohol, soft drinks don't. The term soft drink mainly refers to soda pop, which is non-alcoholic flavored carbonated beverage.
However I don't recommend drinking soft drinks either. They make you fat, hungry, deplete vitamins and calcium from your body, and they are loaded with high fructose corn syrup

Soft Drinks generally refer to Soda. Pepsi Coke Sprite 7up Root Beer...If there is such thing as a hard drink I would think it would be alchol. There is such thing as Hard Liquor with is generally used in mixed drinks or shots.

A soft drink is soda or pop like Sprite, Pepsi, Coke, 7 Up etc. A hard drink would be alcohol like vodka, tequila, gin, etc.
