There's a lot going on in my life, and no one can help me. Most of it are financial problems, and I have been stressing a lot for more than a week, and I keep waking up at night and I always end up crying because of how much it worries me. I do have a job, but it's not for what came to me (bills, etc) it's just too many problems to name. Plus I go to college as well, and the classes and the work stresses me out even more. Well, to make things worse, i haven't been to a doctor at all to get prenatal care because i don't have medical insurance and the state medicaid is taking so long to process and qualify me for the medical benefits, i have been waiting for 3 weeks now, and I still don't have an answer for them. I am very frustrated over everything, i feel like nothing comes out right for me, i just don't know what to do anymore

You have a lot on your plate and unfortunately stress always seems to know how to follow, by the truck-load. I've had times when I didn't know if I would be able to put food on the table or pay the electric/gas bill, but somehow they always did. Curl up with a good book, or a favorite romantic/comedy movie and let the world rest for a while. Your problems can wait one more day, one more hour, but they are set aside for a bit while you take time for you. When you are ready, tackle one problem at a time, kind of like cleaning a messy house, taking one room at a time and take your time in the process.
Some of your feeling may be contributed to you pregnancy. Pregnancy has a way of turning us on our heads.
Rest assured, you will get through this one step at a time :o)

Is there any way you can ditch the job and just continue with your schooling? If you can do that, I would say leave the job. Going to school and being pregnant is enough to deal with. Don't give up on the schooling, it's your ticket to better paying jobs even if it doesn't seem like it now. Do good for you and your future baby and finish your schooling. If you can't ditch the job and you have to keep doing both, then make sure you get plenty of rest (you will get more tired as the baby grows), maybe cut back on the hours you work or work part time while you finish up school.

Call the medicaid office to inquire about your status.

Hey honey, just calm down. First of all calm down. All that stress and worrying, is just going to make the baby sick and he/she could be born with a lot of health problems due to it. Trust me I know because I have gone through it. I was also going through the same problems as you with medicaid and all the medical benefits. For me it took about a month or a month and a half. I got tired of waiting also. Call them and see how much longer will it take and explain to them that you are 17 wks preg. and still hadn't seen a doctor. What they did for me was that they told me to see a doctor and then they billed medicaid later. Ask them if that's optional for you. For your financial problems apply for welfare. Even if you're working, they will still help you out. All depends how much you make and if you're single or married. Look, i also go to college and work. But trust me, the best thing for you for right now will be just to calm down a bit, cuz you're baby could get sick. Call medicaid and ask, apply for welfare, and just take things slow and one day at time. I know it hard babe, but that's the best advice i could offer you.

Somethings gonna have to give and you don't want that to be your baby! You need to cut down on your hours at work or even put classes on hold for now.You need to get a relative or trusted friend to put pressure on the medicaid department,
You are simply doing too much by yourself.
Also you need to relax much more, going out with friends or
a simple yoga class.
All this stress on your womb is not good for your unborn baby
so try and sort yourself out. It's not easy...but you will get there.
All the best to you.

Please give the caseworker a call about your medicaid, hon.

Also you might want to know that many counties offer mental health services which are free or adjusted to your income when you make little money. Just a thought, and perhaps you could talk with someone.

I hope it works out.

Can you take some time off from school and continue later? Do you have family who might be able to help just this once?

hugs

to end your stress: surrender your resistance to what is
