If you knew that in 10,000 years only one book of the Bible would survive, which one would you choose?
If you knew only one of the two testaments (old or new) would survive, which would you choose?

I have always seen the New Testament as the books of acceptance, inclusion and forgiveness, and the Old Testament as the books of laws, judgement, and punishment. Although I do think Revelations if more of an Old Testament book.
I want to see what legacy we wish to pass on to future generations.

I think I would have a hard time choosing, but if I had absoulutely no choice, it would be the Old Testament and either Romans or Hebrews.
The Old Testament shows what God expects of us, either Romans or Hebrews shows His grace.

As already stated, the best course of action would be to memorize the entire Bible and then teach it to my children, and their children, and them to their children, etc. However...
I have heard it said that if you can get a devout Muslim to seriously read the entire book of Luke that they cannot help but be converted to Christianity. So, since a knowledge of Jesus is the most important thing, I pick Luke for my book.
For a Testament, I pick the Old Testament for all throughout the Old Testament everything is pointing to Jesus anyway. Those who see nothing but Judgment in the Old Testament are not looking with eyes anointed by the Holy Spirit. This is not to say that there isn't Judgment -- our God is a Just God. But, if you can't see the Great Love of God in the Old Testament, then you're fooling yourself to think that you can see it in the New Testament.

If i could pick one from both testaments, i would choose proverbs for the old testament because that book has the best advice there is. And from the new testament i would have to say the book of Revelation, because anyone who reads that will know what to do when the AntiChrist is revealed.

New Testament,
Book of John.
I think the Book of John is beautifully written, covers the love and faith of Jesus Christ.
As written in the book of Hebrews, the new testament is superior to the old testament. That is why I chose the New testament. (Also because it contained the book of John).

I can't decide between Psalms and John. I would go with the New Testament.

Back in the days when I lived my life paying no attention at all to spiritual matters, it was the Gospel of John that literally brought me to my knees, brought tears to my eyes, and brought me back to God and to the Church. The message of God's love, forgiveness and salvation...the image of Jesus as the good shepherd...the love Jesus shows for Peter after the ressurection, even in light of Peter's betrayal.....I would want people to read this.

John - John 3:16-17 is the main thing that you must know for salvation.

10,000 years from now I assume, and hope there will be a ton of new discoveries. So, I'd let the people have Job so they can compare how much they can do/not do.
Def. keep new.
