My first choice is to work as a probation officer but i am also thinking about being a social worker for DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. Which would be a more suiting major for both careers.

I already earned my Assocites in criminal justice i'm going back to school to get my B.S. degree maybe a Masters if i start to lean more into social work

increasingly probation offices are hiring social workers as probation officers because so much of this work is really corrective in nature (something less covered in criminal justice programs). You will probably need an MSW - but if you do your BSW you can go on for advanced standing in in the MSW program.

You can be a probation officer with a degree in social work so that probably would be the best of both worlds. I am a social worker with a masters and have worked in domestic violence in the past. With a social work degree you can do a lot of things including getting licensed to do therapy.

Definatly a BSW. I surely have a Masters in Social artwork and it has given me such distinctive options. I surely have worked for sufferer help, and the district courtroom in my section, so i think of that's the excellent diploma for working interior the social centers.
