I know that if you buy something on the Internet, and the company is not in the state you are in, you do not pay sales tax. You do owe a use tax, which is the same thing.

Now, if a business buys goods from a business that it is going to resell there is no sales tax until the point of final sale.

I suspect you will not pay a California sales tax, but you might have to pay some form of Use tax in Wyoming.

If there is a sales tax in both states I would think so. I live in Washington and if I drove to Oregon (where they have no sales tax) to purchase a car I still get sales taxed..... The government will always get their money. They don't give free rides..
